Bell shaped cooking chopper - patent date imprinted on stirrup style cast iron handle is May 2, '93 (1893).  This is a No. 60 chopper with three steel bell shaped blades, mounted together via the center screw.   Chopper measures 5 1/2" overall - bell blades are 2 3/4" high - handle is 3 7/8" wide x 2 1/2" high.  Original finish.

Circa 1865 coal tongs - also used for embers, measuring 14" overall with a 6 1/2" spread when open.  Scissor style handles measure 5" to center pivot.  Pivot shows some wear but is still very functional and can be used as intended.

An early hanging baking griddle made to use with a separate wrought iron handle which accompanies, from the early 19th century.  Griddle plate measures 15" in diameter and is about 1" thick with a raised edge.  The sides have extended flanges that mount bolts peened through them permanently with hanger eyes that are 2 1/4" diameter.  The eyes allow a removable hinged handle to be used with the griddle.  The griddle across the flanges measures 17 1/2".  The accompanying hinged  handle measures 15" overall and allows the griddle to be hung on a hook from a trammel or crane.   This griddle is extremely heavy - weighing in at 20 pounds.  It is in very good condition.

A large and well made mid 1800's wrought iron cooking ladle measuring 23" overall and signed W. Gettys on the handle.  The bowl of  the ladle is 5 1/2" across x 5 3/4" x 1 1/2" deep.  The handle is 3/4" at the widest.  Ladle is made in three pieces - the handle is forge welded in the center and widened into an arrow at the base in order to attach to the bowl with three iron rivets.  The end of the handle is folded over at the top in a deep 1 1/4" curl for hanging.

A large and well made mid 1800's wrought iron pierced strainer measuring 20" overall.  The bowl of  the strainer is 5" x 5 1/4" x 2" deep and is nicely pierced.  Two rivets attach the strainer bowl to the handle.  The end of the handle is folded over at the top for hanging.
