Well executed early wrought iron hanging kitchen utensil rack, circa 1840, of southwestern influence with five single wrought hooks. Measuring 20 1/2" across x 11 1/2" high, this is a fairly sizable utensil rack. The single hooks extend 1 5/8" from the rail. The stepped edge is nicely worked rounded iron while the curled designs in the center are flat. Close-ups below show more detail. Well worked early southwestern iron piece.

Wrought iron rotary fireplace broiler, circa 1800. This
broiler has nine straight grills mounted on the round broiler that rotates 360
degrees on the pivot mount. The handle is formed into the back leg and is
all one piece while the wishbone front feet extend from the center pivot.
The outside diameter of the boiler is 12 1/2". The handle extends
12 1/4" beyond the broiler, and the feet are 2 3/4" high with a 8" spread at the
front "Y". This boiler is in excellent condition with full feet, no
cracks, and not rusted out. A hanger hole is at the end of the handle.

Wrought iron rotary fireplace broiler, circa 1800. This
broiler has eleven straight grills mounted on the round broiler that rotates 360
degrees on the pivot mount. The handle is formed into the back leg and is
all one piece while the wishbone front feet extend from the center pivot.
The outside diameter of the boiler is 13". The handle extends
10 1/2" beyond the broiler and ends in a hanger loop of nicely twisted
iron. The feet are 2 3/4" high with a 11" spread at the
front "Y". This boiler is in very good condition with full feet, no
cracks, and not rusted out. Can still be used for heath cooking.

Wrought iron tongs with a patent date of May 20, 1870, signed by E M Ross. These tongs offer flat, broadened, and ridged ends (pictured below right) possibly for handling cooking meat, or moving cooking embers around the fireplace. Tongs measure 15 1/2" overall with the flat paddles measuring 1" high x 3/4" wide.

Two early wrought iron fireplace and hearth cooking tools,
circa 1830-50 with copper ball finials - a pair of fire tongs and a poker/warming iron
- both in an unusual small size. The tongs measure 18 1/4" overall, 3" wide spread at the
hinge, and 4 1/4" spread at the pads. The pads are fully present and in
good condition (7/8" diameter). The poker or warming iron was used as
a poker or because of its small size could be heated in
the fire and used to warm liquid quickly such as ciders, wine, toddy's, and
simply water. Measuring 18" overall with the square bottom 4 1/2" high x
1/2" square. The wrought copper balls are 1 3/4" high x 1 1/4" diameter.

A very nice smaller size wrought iron cooking spatula or turner, measures 12" overall. The spatula is 2 1/4" high x 1 5/8" wide and has a well worked flat handle 3/8" wide into round before being spread into the turner. Hanger hook is folded over at the top. A nicely worked piece.

An early cooking taster in wrought iron with
a very shallow bowl seen from the side in close-up below center. Measures
10" overall - the ladle is 1 7/8" in
diameter and the handle extends 8 1/4". Top is curled for hanging. A
well used kitchen cooking accessory from the late 1700's to early 1900's.

from the 19th century.
There are 26 links measuring 2 to 2 1/2" x 1 1/4" wide, a large 3" diameter
circle on one end, and a larger link, 2" x 2 3/4", in the center.
Beautifully worked links - most seams are undetectable.
