Antique decorative Victorian pull handle cupboard catches in cast iron, circa 1875. Back plate measures 3 5/8" x 1" and the handle is 2 1/4" and extends 1 1/8". When pulled, the bottom of the handle comes out and lowers the inside catch shown from the side above. The catch keepers, not pictured, mounts on the underside of interior shelf. Typical catch keepers are pictured with latches Ref. 444-897 below. Latch is shown in mounted position below. Restored and complete with screws.

Very rare and hard to find early Victorian cupboard latches in decorative cast iron with bronze knobs, circa 1869. Latches are surface mount and operate as a lift bar operated by hand via the bronze knob - there are no springs. The bar lowers into the notch on the keeper. Latch bodies measure 1 3/4" x 1 3/4" and the bronze knobs are 5/8" diameter and extend 1/2" from latch. Close-up is pictured below. Restored and complete, ready to install - complete with screws. NOTE: These latches may be used for closets or small storage areas, but caution should be used if the area is large enough to walk into, as there is no access to release this latch from the inside.

Victorian cupboard latch in decorative cast iron with porcelain operating knob on a lift bar mechanism. A patent date is imprinted above the body of the latch of July 3, 1867. Brass rivets attach the knob to the bar which is used to lift the bar up and down out of and into the notch in side mounted jamb keeper (left of latch pictured on its side). There are no springs in these early cupboard latches. Latch bodies measure 1 7/8" high x 1 7/8" and the knobs are approx. 3/4" diameter. Keeper is 1 7/8" high and extends 5/8" from jamb. Restored and complete in excellent condition , ready to install - complete with screws.

Single rare lever style cupboard latch in decorative cast iron. Latch measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" at the base plus the keeper which is 1 1/2" x 5/8" additional. The operator lever shown in close-up below right from the side extends 1 1/2" and releases from the keeper when pulled back. This latch is surface mount and spring loaded. In good working condition - not recently restored.

Early original Victorian cupboard latches in decorative cast iron with cast bronze knobs, patent on the underside of Feb. 11, 1890. Latches and knobs are both in basket weave pattern. Latch is a surface mount, spring loaded catch measuring 2" x 1 1/4" without the 1" additional keepers. Latches are ready to install - complete with screws. Close-up below.

Victorian square cupboard latches in decorative cast iron with decorative cast bronze knobs, patent date on the underside of Feb. 7, 1871. Latch is a surface mount, spring loaded catch. Measuring 2 1/8" x 1 5/8" without the 2 1/8" x 3/4" keeper. Bronze turn knobs are 1 1/4" diameter. Restored and complete, ready to install - complete with screws. Pair of early mid-1800's cast iron cupboard latches with brass operating knobs. These latches are surface mount and spring loaded catch. Measuring 1 1/2" high x 2 1/2" deep without the 1 1/2" x 1 5/16" keeper. Restored and complete, in good operating condition - we provide slotted mounting screws.
