Early original Victorian cupboard latches in decorative cast iron with cast iron knobs showing remnants of original plated finish, circa 1885. Latch is a surface mount, spring loaded catch measuring 1 7/8" x 1 1/2" without the 1 7/8" x 3/4" additional keepers. Latches are ready to install - complete with screws. Close-ups below. Not recently restored - in very good working condition.

Very rare ornate square cupboard latch in its original nickel finish over cast bronze, manufactured by the Reading Hardware Co. in their popular Windsor pattern. Latch is a surface mount, spring loaded catch. Measuring 2 1/4" x 1 5/8" without the 2 1/4" x 5/8" keeper. Very good working condition. NOTE: This latch may be used for a closet or small storage area, but caution should be used if the area is large enough to walk into, as there is no access to release this latch from the inside.
