Victorian square cupboard latches in decorative cast iron with decorative cast bronze knobs, patent date on the underside of Feb. 7, 1871. Latch is a surface mount, spring loaded catch. Measuring 2 1/8" x 1 5/8" without the 2 1/8" x 3/4" keeper. Restored and complete, ready to install - complete with screws. Detail is shown more clearly in close-up photo below. NOTE: This latch may be used for a closet or small storage area, but caution should be used if the area is large enough to walk into, as there is no access to release this latch from the inside.

Antique decorative Victorian pull handle cupboard catches in cast iron, circa 1880. This type of cupboard latch was often used on jelly cupboards. Back plate measures 4" x 1" and the handle is 2 1/4" and extends 1 1/8". When pulled, the bottom of the handle comes out and lowers the inside catch shown from the side below. The catch keeper, shown above the latch below, mounts on the underside of interior shelf. Shown in mounted position above. Restored and complete with screws.

Early original Victorian cupboard latches in decorative cast iron with cast bronze knobs, patent on the underside of Feb. 11, 1890. Latches and knobs are both in basket weave pattern.
