Victorian cupboard latches in decorative cast iron with porcelain operating knobs on a lift bar mechanism. A patent date is imprinted above the body of the latch of July 3, 1867. Brass rivets attach the knob to the bar which is used to lift the bar up and down out of and into the notch in side mounted jamb keeper (left of latch pictured on its side). There are no springs in these early cupboard latches. Latch bodies measure 1 7/8" high x 1 7/8" and the knobs are approx. 3/4" diameter. Keeper is 1 7/8" high and extends 5/8" from jamb. Restored and complete in excellent condition , ready to install - complete with screws.

Victorian cupboard latches in decorative cast iron with decorative cast bronze knobs (5/8"), circa 1885. Latch is a surface mount, spring loaded catch. Measuring 1 7/16" high x 2" deep without the 1 7/16" x 1" keeper. Restored and complete, ready to install - complete with screws. Close-up shown below.
NOTE: These latches may be used for closets or small storage areas, but caution should be used if the area is large enough to walk into, as there is no access to release this latch from the inside.

Circa 1940 Deco style push button cabinet door latches in chrome finish over brass. These latches are new old stock, never used, in their original packaging manufactured by the National Mfg. Co. Push button latch handle is 3 5/8" high x 5/8" wide, the grip opening is 2 1/4". The latch is surface mount as pictured below center and measures 1 3/8" x 1 5/8" high. Jamb keeper is shown in center photo mounted below latch. All original - all complete.

Unusual turn of the century cast iron cupboard latches, circa 1900, with "T" handles and additional decorative details. Latches measure 5" high x 1 1/2" deep without the 5/8" keeper. These latches offered a combination of both the plain and the decorative Victorian look. Restored and complete. NOTE: The keepers are very slightly different as seen in the photo.
