 Wrought iron strap hinges with a rams horn pintle braces, early 19th century, with ball terminals.  Hinges are characteristic of Pennsylvania.  Measure 45" overall x 3 1/4" high at the pintle.  The pintle brace extends 8+" and has a spread of 16 1/2" while the strap side is 37 3/4".  Hinges are nicely tapered with beveled edges ending in round terminals.  Not recently restored - aged finish.

Early pair of  19th century wrought iron strap hinges - a small size for a small door.  Close-ups below show the ball terminals and the pintles with a threaded mount.  These hinges were nicely made measuring 7" overall x 11/16" at widest at the joint - tapering down to 1/4" and a ball terminal 11/16" in diameter.  Pintles measure 2 3/4" overall with the threaded mount 1 1/2".  These hinges have not been restored and have original aged finish intact.

 Victorian cast iron lift-off or loose joint door hinges, manufactured circa 1875.  These loose joint type of hinges were handed and these are right hand for a door hinged on the left.  Hinges measure 3" high x 2 1/2" across the back when open and are very substantial hinges with very little wear.  Restored and complete with flat head wood screws for mounting.  Same hinges in left hand found below.

A pair of Arts & Crafts style modified strap hinges, operating with drive-in pintles as pictured.  Hinges are heavy wrought steel and measure 12 1/2" high and extend 6".  Drive-in spikes are 4 1/2" with the pintle face 9" high with a very unique extended tail.  Finished in a flat black which shows some nicks and scrapes over time - complete with mounting screws.

A very early pair of  wrought iron strap hinges, from the early 18th century, with period square mount holes and unusual decorative edge features.  Close-ups below show the chamfered and notched edge decoration.  These hinges are heavy and well made measuring 14 3/4" overall x 2" at widest at the joint - tapering down to a bulbous terminal 2" in diameter.  Hinges do not come with drive-in pintles or mounting screws, but are being sold as is in the photo.
