 Victorian cast iron Dolphin ceiling hook used primarily for hanging lamps, circa 1875, with 2" mounting screw and 5 1/2" hanging drop between the screwed end and the hook base for especially high ceilings.   Overall measurement is 11 1/4" with the dolphin itself measuring 3 3/4" x 2" wide at hook.  Nice casting detail and still in an old gold surface finish over the cast iron which may be original.
