A unique piece of very Deco Egyptian Revival hardware from the early 20th century, cast iron in original paint finish. Photo below right shows maker's signature in bottom right "LVCo" - possibly the Louis Vuitton Co. Famous for his leather luggage and handbags but also sought after for many accessories including men's ties and belts. The unusual flat extension of these hooks leads us to believe this to be either a belt and/or a tie hanger. Beautifully cast detail of an Egyptian sphinx resting in front of a pyramid with columns behind. Measuring 12 1/4" across x 7 5/8" high overall. The hooks are brass and measure 1 1/2" high and extend 2 3/4" ending with small round knobs. Not restored, in cast iron with no break or chips. The original paint shows some age spots and some minor loss, but overall is in remarkably good condition. Colors are quite striking and very indicative of the time.

Decorative Victorian bird cage hook, circa 1880, in ornate cast iron. Song birds were very popular in the Victorian era to provide music and song in otherwise quiet homes. Hook extends 8 1/2" from the wall while the decorative end hook shown in close-up below measures 1 3/4" extension x 1 5/8" deep. Mount wall back plate measures 6" high x 3 7/8" wide. Close-up below shows decorative detail. Great for hanging plants or bird cages. Restored and ready to mount.

A matching pair of antique wall mount hat and coat hooks in decorative cast iron, circa 1890. Hooks measure 4 1/2" high overall and extend 3 1/4" from the wall. The mounting back is 2" x 1 1/4" with 4 holes. Almost identical to Ref. 998-649 above but made at a different time so there is a slight difference in the thickness of the metal. Restored and complete with screws. (Note: lower left mount hole has defect that shows in photo below. Hole is still usable)

Decorative cast iron ceiling hook used primarily for hanging lamps, circa 1875. Overall measurement is 6 3/4" with the hook itself measuring 3" high x 2" wide at hook. The screw measures 3 3/4" overall. Accompanied by original rosette 2 1/8" in diameter. Decorative detail is shown in close-up below right. Restored and complete.
