Well wrought pair of iron half strap hinges, circa 1830. These hinges measure 19" overall x 1 1/4" at widest. Complete with drive-in pintle braces with the drive-in mount measuring 5" deep. Nicely formed terminals - hinges have beveled edges. Not recently restored, aged finish.

An exceptional pair of full strap wrought iron blanket chest hinges from the 18th Century. These hinges mounted on the inside of the top of the lid and the outside of the back of the chest and are made specifically for that configuration. Measuring 33" overall, the most decorative lid portion is 17 1/2" while the lower section used on the chest back is 15 1/2". Hinges are 1 7/8" wide at the knuckle. This style is distinctively Pennsylvania as noted in Albert Sonn's Early American Wrought Iron. Restored and complete.

Early 20th century Arts and Crafts style modified strap hinges, operating with a drive-in pintle that the hinges pivot on. This smaller pair of hinges were made for use on cupboards or furniture. Hinges are wrought iron and measure 7 1/4" high x 1" and extend from mount 1 3/4". Drive-in spikes are 2 1/2" and the pintle is 3 1/2" high overall with a modified rattail at the bottom. Restored and refinished in a flat black finish - complete and ready to install.

Victorian cast iron ball tip loose pin butt hinges manufactured during the last half of the 19th century. The top pin can be removed and the hinge becomes two pieces for mounting purposes. This type of hinge can be used on either side of the door and are not handed. Measuring 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" this size was usually used on cupboards or small doors. Restored and in excellent condition.

Nicely wrought iron butterfly door hinges, circa 1750, with remnants of original blue paint. Hinges measure 3" high x 4" wide. Measuring 2 1/8" high at the three knuckle joints which show minimal wear. One hinge (pictured in close-up below) has one upper corner broken off.

Unusual full strap wrought iron hinges, circa 1800, with ball end and knuckle joint. These hinges measure 29" overall x 3" at widest. Hinges offer a well executed beveled edge, are nicely tapered, and with a well formed ball end.

The hinges measures 2 1/2" high x 2" across the back open with iron ball tip finials- restored and in excellent condition. Complete with slotted mounting screws.
