  Rare wrought iron full strap hinges, serpentine type, attributed to early Bucks County, Pennsylvania, circa 1800.  Hinges measure 19" overall across x 1 1/2" at widest point.  The curves lift or drop approximately 4".  Well executed workmanship, appearance, and condition.

        Cast iron tight pin butt hinges for doors, measuring 3" x 3" across the back when open, manufactured last half of 1800's.  These hinges do not separate and are reversible for either hand door.  Hinges are restored and in good condition.  Some are marked Gilbert - probably Gilbert Lock Co., Newark, New Jersey popular in the 1870's.  Complete with slotted mount screws.

Unusual wrought iron full strap hinges in the Hudson Valley (Dutch) style, circa 1780.  This style of hinge was expanded usually in circular form to give added nail support near the joint.  These hinges are unusual in that the pintle side has a smaller strap called the lower strap.  Hinges measure 27" overall x 2 1/4" at widest point.  Upper strap sides are 19" while the lower straps are 8" x 1 1/2" at widest.  Well executed workmanship, appearance, and condition.

Wrought iron and brass barrels lift-off  French armoire hinges, circa 1840.  Set consists of  two left hand and two right hand hinges for a double door armoire.  Hinges measure 9" high overall.  Wrought iron leaves measure approx. 2 3/4" high x 1 3/4" extension and 2 1/2" high x 1" extension.  Brass barrels have steeple tips.  Hinges are in good condition.

Pair of nicely wrought iron strap hinges, from the 19th century, with ball terminals.  These hinges measure 14" & 16" overall x 2" at widest point at the knuckle.  Hinges come with original drive-in pintles.  Nice deeply beveled edges shown in close-ups blow.  Hinges are not recently restored and have an aged black finish..

  18th century wrought iron butterfly door hinges measuring 2 1/4" high at wide end x 5 1/2" and 6" each hinge respectively.   Measuring 1 5/8" high at the knuckle joints.  Not recently restored - aged patina and color.  Showing wear on the joints and imperfections from age and use but a great example of very early hinges.
