    Two matching wrought iron building ties, circa 1800.  Mounted through the floor joists of the second or the attic floors in primarily brick buildings/houses to keep the brick from bulging out.  The round rosettes show on the exterior of the building and measure 8 3/4" diameter x 3/8" thick.  The rod is 20" long with the square stop 1 1/2" square.  Each tie rod has a substantial wing nut on the threaded end for adjustment.  Original finish - not recently restored.

Early 20th century toilet roll holders with white porcelain ends and wooden rollers.  The porcelain ends measure 2 1/2" high x 2 1/4" wide with a mounted extension of 3 1/4".  Porcelain is in excellent condition with no cracks.  We have adapted Plexiglas wall mounts to install these pieces as shown in photo below right.  These pieces were originally of sheet metal.  The mounts are screwed into the wall and the ends slide down over them to keep the holder in place.

Victorian decorative stair rail brackets in cast iron, circa 1885.  These brackets support a stairway railing and are mounted from the wall.  Measuring 3 1/2" high overall with an extension of 3 3/4" from the wall.  The back mount is 3" high x 1 3/8" wide.  Accompanied by 2 plain cast iron rounded braces (seen to the right of the brackets).  These rounded braces mount under and into the cutout on the extension of the bracket and the railing screws into them to mount - the braces swivel on the bracket and can be adjusted for the pitch of the railing.  Two complete brackets and braces make up this matching set for a shorter stair rail.  Restored and complete with mounting screws.

       Antique picture hangers in cast iron parrots with threaded screw mounts, manufactured circa 1910.  Both hangers are in their original paint with 80% of it still intact.  This type of picture hanger was screwed into the wall and the pictures were hung from wires, etc, that were looped over the parrots.  Parrots measure 2 1/4" high x 3/4" at widest with a 7/8" screw.  Each parrot is shown below in close-ups.
