A very nice smaller wrought iron rim lock, circa 1800, with brass trim.  Lock body measures 5" deep x  3 1/2" high x 15/16" without the keeper and is non-reversible, left hand only.  Our own hand wrought replacement keeper features brass trim on the edge and measures 1" width additional.   Lock is restored, in excellent condition, and complete with original period oval door knobs (1 1/2" high x 1 1/4").  Accompanied by brass rosette and oval brass key escutcheon (1 1/2" x 1 1/16").  Original key is 3 5/8".  Restored and complete with slotted mounting screws.

 Cast iron Victorian vertical rim locks which mount on the surface of the door, manufactured and signed by the Norwich Lock Co., with a patent date imprinted on both sides of Sept. 20, 1870.  Locks measure 4 1/2" high x 3 3/8" without the jamb keeper which is an additional 7/8".  Locks are reversible, shown as left hand above with brown swirl mineral knobs.  Each lock is accompanied with original cast iron rosette, key escutcheon, and one key.  The Norwich arched logo appears above the center of the lock with the patent date across the top.  Locks are identical except for the keyways.  As shown in photos once has a straight keyhole - the other lock has a serpentine keyhole (close-up bottom row below right). Ready to install - complete with slotted screws.  We will hand your locks as needed upon request - please include information in the Comments Section.

 Cast iron Victorian vertical rim locks which mount on the surface of the door, manufactured by the Norwalk Lock Co., circa 1870-80's.  Locks measure 4 1/8" high x 3 1/8" without the jamb keeper which is an additional 13/16".  Locks are reversible, shown as right hand above and left hand below with original white porcelain door knobs.  The night latch on the back edge of the locks allows the knobs to be locked for privacy without using the keyed deadbolt.  Each lock is accompanied with original cast iron rosette, key escutcheon, and one key.  The Norwalk arched logo appears in the center of the lock body as pictured.  Ready to install - complete with slotted screws.  We will hand your locks as needed upon request - please include information in the Comments Section.

Early cast iron rim dead bolt manufactured in the 1840-50's, used on closets,  larders, etc.  This reversible bolt is a surface mount rim style keyed bolt that mounts on the outside of the door and the key was used as the pull to open the door.  Accompanied with original cast iron key escutcheon (above right) for the off-side and original surface mount keeper dated Pat. Feb. 24, 1857.  Rim bolt measures 2 11/16" high x 3 3/8" x 5/8" without the keeper which is 15/16" additional on jamb.  The imprinted seal shown in close-up below right appears only on the right hand side of the bolt - Pat'd Dec. 17, 1842, Ext'd Dec. 15, 1856.  Restored with black finish and complete - ready for installation.

 Victorian full mortise privacy bolt, circa 1885, with a ornate cast iron thumb turn operator and diamond rosette as pictured below in mounted position.  The round mortise bolt measures approximately 2 5/8" deep x 3/4" diameter with a 2" backset.  The cast iron thumb turn extends 1" from the door and is 1" high.  The plate behind is 1" each side.  All restored and complete with jamb keeper pictured to the left of the bolt.  Comes with mounting screws.
