Early contact shop bell which mounts on the jamb above the door with the toggle hanging over so that when the door opens it is flipped and rings the gong bell to alert shop owners of entry.  The brass bell measures 4" in diameter and extends from the cast iron mount back plate 2".  Bell is in age darkened patina - not recently restored.  In excellent working condition, complete.

     No. 108 brass double name plate push door bell button, new old stock in original box.  Brass with brown bakelite buttons, by Eagle Electric Mfg. Co., Long Island, New York, Circa 1930's - 40's.  Measuring 4 3/4" x 1 5/8".
