  Antique Victorian rotary or twist door bell which mounts directly through an exterior door with the turn handle (above) on the outside and the bell (below left) mounted inside.  Bell has an imprinted patent date of Aug. 1, 1893.  Decorative cast iron turn handle measures 4 3/8" x 1 5/8" while the turn itself is 1 1/2" high and extends 7/8".   Iron bell with decorative cast iron mounts measures 3 1/4" in diameter, extends 2" when mounted, and 3 3/4" center to center on the mount holes.    Bell rings with a continuous ring as long as the handle is turned and can be heard throughout the house.  Complete and restored to working order, bell is adjustable to any door thickness up to 2" without requested modification.
