Unusual Victorian push button mechanical door bell fully restored, circa 1885.    Assembly mounts directly through an exterior door with the push button on the outside and the bell mounted inside - the operating stem coming off the button mounts through the door into the bell to ring with a constant BBRRIINNGG when pushed.   This type of bell is a three-way bell and was made to be used with either a trip handle, a bell pull, or the push button which is original to this particular bell.  Cast brass push button measures 2 3/8" in diameter with a 2 1/4" rod extending from the button into the bell.  The cast bronze bell with a cast iron base measures 3 1/2" in diameter.  Complete and restored to working order and it's original polished finish.  Bell is adjustable for a door up to 1 3/4" maximum thickness and rings loud enough to be heard throughout the house.  Comes with slotted screws.
