Original Victorian ornate surface mount slide privacy bolt, circa 1885, in cast iron.  Bolt itself measures 4 3/8" x 1 5/8" without the keeper which is 1" additional.  Bolt slides by using raised finger grasp seen at the end.  Restored and complete with slotted wood screws.

Surface mount Victorian chain bolt in decorative cast iron, circa 1885.  Bolt measures 7" high x 2 1/8" at widest.  This type of bolt was used at the top of doors with the chain being used to allow access on tall doors without excessive reaching.  Original chain measures 18".  Jamb keeper measures 1 1/4" additional.  Restored and complete - comes with slotted mounting screws.

 Wrought iron hasp catch with a pivot drop hook.  Hasp measures 7" overall x 1 5/8" high at highest and is right hand only - not reversible.  The drop hook has a 1 1/2" drop.  Accompanied by the U staples one of which mounts through the slot for the hook to drop into securing a door as well as the staple for the back mount hole.  This type of latch was used for many applications during the 18th and 19th century wherever a door needed a one sided catch.  For the most part they were used in exterior applications and show some surface pitting from weather and age as this one does.

Wrought iron 45 degree box hasp - mounted on the lid and dropping over the front with opening over the staple catch.  Measuring 5" x 1 1/4" at the front drop hasp and 11" x 1 3/8" on the lid strap extension.  The wrought staple is included.   The hasp is quite old and pitted from weather but still structurally sound and usable.  We provide slotted screws for mounting.

  A later wrought iron hinged hasp measuring 9 1/2" overall x 1 1/8" high at staple opening and is reversible for use in either handing.   The hinged joint is 2 1/2" high - the stationary hinged side is 2 1/2" deep.  Accompanied by one wrought iron staple.  This type of latch was used for many applications during the later 19th century wherever a door needed a one sided catch with a spike/stick or to be secured with a padlock.  For the most part they were used in exterior applications and show surface pitting from weather and age as this one does.

Antique reversible surface mount simple slide bolt or catch, in heavy cast brass French style, circa 1920.  This type of slide bolt was often used on interior shutters or any door where a simple slide catch was needed.  The main body of the bolt measures 4 1/4" high x 2 1/2" wide with the keeper measuring 2 1/8" high x 1 1/8" wide.  The operating knob extends 1" from the body and measures about 3/4" in diameter.  This catch is very heavy and well made high quality  bolt in original patina.  Complete with mounting screws.
