Single wrought iron semi-mortise flush mount vertical dead bolt, circa 1850. Bolt is cut into the surface of the door so that it is flush with the door when mounted. Bolt measures 30" x 1 1/2" wide. The 1" diameter brass operating knob to throw and retract the bolt extends 1", and the bolt throws 3/4" and is 1/2" diameter round. The oval brass back plate under the knob measures 3" x 1 1/8". Restored and complete with a replacement hand made mortise style keeper measuring 2" x 1". Mechanism needs a 5/8" deep mortise in the door. Restored and complete.

Antique Victorian foot bolt, surface mount, in decorative cast iron, circa 1890. Bolt measures 5" high x 2". This type of bolt was used on the bottom of the door and has a spring loaded toe release button that retracts the bolt without reaching down (shown in close-up below). The top push is flat allowing you to step on it to engage the bolt by pressing downward. Floor keeper measures 2 1/8" x 3/4". Bolt extends 1/2". Restored and complete with slotted mounting screws.

Original antique cast iron rim dead bolts manufactured circa 1880, often used on closets. Bolt is a surface mount rim style keyed bolt that mounts on the outside of a closet door and the key was used as the pull to open the door. Bolt is reversible. Accompanied with original cast iron key escutcheon for the off-side. Rim bolt measures 2 1/2" high x 3 5/8" without the keeper which is 3/4" additional on jamb. Bolt throw 1/2". Backset to keyhole is 2 1/2".

A double cylinder mortise style dead bolt with nickel cylinders and trim manufactured by P. & F. Corbin, circa early 20th Century. This bolt is in the original nickel finish on the face and strike, measuring 3 1/2" deep x 2 1/2" high x 3/4" with a backset of 2 1/2". The bolt throws 1/2". Accompanied by cylinders for interior and exterior as well as high profile and low profile trim rings. Two keys included. Check your local ordinances - some areas do not allow keyed cylinders on the inside of residential buildings.

Small Colonial Revival bolt, circa 1920, in wrought iron for cabinets or small doors. This bolt throws either direction by turning the brass "T" operator (3/4" across). Measuring 3" high overall x 1 3/16" wide. The bolt throws 5/8". The replacement keeper, hand wrought in our own shop, measures 2" high x 1/2" wide. Comes complete with mounting screws.

Wood and wrought iron stock lock from the early1800's. This type of iron bolts was encased in a wood surface mount body with wrought iron side supports. Non-reversible, right hand only, the bolt measures 6 1/4" high x 10" wide x 1 1/2" thick. Front, shown above, has decorative side braces at each end - a close-up is shown below right. The bolt is 2 1/2" high and throws 1". Original key is 5". Back of lock, below left, shows iron bolt in wood body.
