 Early wrought iron strap hinges with cross-garnet side mount pintle braces on wrapped joints, 18th century.  Hinges are characteristic of Pennsylvania.  Measures 11" overall on the straight strap side x 1 1/2" high at the wrapped knuckle.  The pintle brace extends about 5" and has a spread of  8".  Hinges show wear from long period of use.  Not recently restored - aged black finish.

Wrought iron butterfly hinges, in a small size for a cupboard or cabinet, circa 1750.  Hinges measure 2 1/2" high x 3 3/4" wide.  The three knuckle joints show reasonable wear for their age.  Hinges are primitive with much age character as shown in close-ups below.

Pennsylvania side mount wrought iron hinges, sometimes called mustache hinges - early 1800's.  Hinges measure 8 3/4" and 8 1/2" high and extend 3".  These hinges do not have mounting pintles included.  Early nicely wrought hinges often seen in the Pennsylvania German and Moravian communities.  Close-ups below  - hinges are in good condition but show appropriate age and wear and are not recently restored.

Victorian cast iron ball tip loose pin butt hinges manufactured during the last half of the 19th century - the top pin can be removed and the hinge becomes two pieces for mounting purposes. This type of hinge can be used on either side of the door and are not handed. The hinges measures 3" x  3" - restored and in excellent condition.  Complete with slotted mounting screws.
