All original ornate cast bronze vestibule mortise lock manufactured circa 1888, by Lockwood Mg. Co - Broken Leaf pattern.  Exterior escutcheon plate measures 5 5/8" x 1 3/4" while the interior trim consists of the knob and rosette (2") with matching thumb turn (1 7/8" high x 1" wide backplate).  Both cast knobs are 2 1/4" diameter.  Accompanied by restored original mortise lock pictured below with matching patterned bronze face (5 1/2" x 1 1/16") and strike (2 1/2" x 1 1/16"), and one key.  The button on the face of the lock will lock or unlock the outside knob but the inside knob always remains free.  When the exterior knob is locked, the lock may be opened via the key from the front.  The latch can also be retracted from the inside with the ornate thumb turn.  A vestibule lock does not have a deadbolt.  Lock is reversible and may be used for either handing.  Lock has a 3" backset.  Bronze trim is restored and lacquered - ready for installation - screws included.
