Heavy cast bronze trimmed mortise lock set, manufactured by the Reading Hardware Co., circa 1885, in their popular Belfort pattern of the Rococo School.  Escutcheon plates measure 10" x 2 1/2" and door knobs are 2 1/4" diameter.  This pattern is deeply cast and very ornate and because of the large plates would be appropriate for an exterior or interior door.  Accompanied by restored original Reading mortise lock, with plain bronze face and complete with original key and new replacement brass strike. Lock is reversible.  Complete and ready for installation.
