Heavy ornate cast brass vestibule mortise lock manufactured circa 1900, by the Reading Hardware Co.  Trim is heavy six sided 2" diameter door knobs with matching twelve sided rosettes measuring 2 1/2" square.  The matching cylinder surround measures 3" square.  Accompanied by restored original cylinder bolt mortise lock pictured below (see cylinderlock.htm), with plain brass face, strike, spindle, and brass keyed cylinder. The buttons on the face of the lock will lock or unlock the outside knob but the inside knob always remains free.  This type of lock has no deadbolt, when the outside knob and latch is locked, the latch is retracted from outside by using the key.  This lock is reversible and may be used for either handing.  Lock has a 2 3/4" backset.  Brass is restored and lacquered - ready for installation - screws included.
