All original antique narrow backset French door lock, circa 1880, manufactured by Russell & Erwin.  This lock is reversible and complete with small porcelain door knob for the exterior side and the brass lever with porcelain knob on the interior.  This configuration was necessary with the narrow backset of 1".  The knob measures 1 3/4" diameter with an iron shank, the lever extends 2 3/4" with a brass shank and a 1" diameter porcelain knob.  The oval key escutcheons are brass measuring 1 5/16" x 5/8".  Rosettes are original and 1" in diameter.  Accompanied by two keys.  A very rare lock, almost never found complete with original parts.  Restored - comes with all necessary mount screws.
