 Circa 1890's mortise entry lock manufactured by Barrows Lock Co. from Chicago, IL.  Matching exterior and interior escutcheon plates measure 8" x 2" and have an unusual shape with some decoration and highlighting.  Accompanied by 12 point glass door knobs from the period.  Restored original cylinder mortise lock pictured below (see cylinderlock.htm), has  plain brass face and strike, comes with a brass cylinder and two keys. The buttons on the face of the lock will lock or unlock the outside knob.  The keyed cylinder dead bolt is operated inside by the thumb turn at the top of the interior escutcheon plate.  This lock is reversible for either handing.  Lock has a 2 3/4" backset.  Faceplate shown in photo below far right measures 7 1/16" x 1 3/16".  Brass trim is restored and lacquered - ready for installation - screws included.
