Circa 1800 wrought brass entry rim lock with original brass knobs and nicely molded edge. Lock body measures 6" x 4" x 1" without the keeper and is non-reversible, right hand only. Original keeper measures 1 5/16" additional width. Lock is restored and complete with early original brass knobs 1 5/8" diameter - original covered key escutcheon is 2 3/16" x 3/4". This lock is in excellent condition with fine quality works - back view shows only the original cover still in place. Close-up bottom row left show detail of the double stepped edge making this lock very high end at the time. This lock will fit a door from approx. 1" up to 1 3/8" thick without modification. Notice there are only two screw holes on the front of the lock. The face of the lock extends back from the body along the face of the door for 1" and the additional two mount holes are found there going into the edge of the door. Restored and complete with slotted screws.
