Large cast iron Victorian horizontal rim lock for entry door or interior use, manufactured by P. & F. Corbin Co. with a patent date on the left hand side of Apr. 2, 1878.   The early P & F C logo in a diamond is shown below on the right hand side only. Lock measures 3 1/2" high x 5 1/4" without the jamb keeper which is an additional 15/16".  Lock is reversible, shown as left hand above and right hand below.  This lock offers a night latch at the bottom of the lock which allows you to lock the door knobs for privacy rather than using the keyed deadbolt.  Restored with original unusual porcelain door knobs with center mount - the spindle passes through the knobs which are attached via the screw on each end showing in the center of the knobs.   Rosette and key escutcheon are cast iron with iron key.  All original - ready to install - complete with screws.  We will hand your lock as needed upon request - please include handing information in the Comments Section.
