Larger size cast iron Victorian horizontal rim lock which mounts on the surface of the door, manufactured circa 1870. Lock measures 5" x 3 3/4" high and is reversible handing, shown as right hand above and left hand below. Keeper is an additional 1". Lock has privacy night latch found on the bottom edge of the lock body which allows you to lock the knobs for privacy without using the keyed deadbolt. Restored with original white porcelain door knobs showing some minor age discoloration and complete with cast iron rosette, key escutcheon, and key - ready to install. Early configuration places the bolt at the top of the lock and latch at the bottom with the keyhole directly in line with the knob. Back set is 4" to knob center. Comes complete with slotted screws.

Restored with original brown mineral door knobs, original cast iron rosette, key escutcheon, and brass key - ready to install. Comes complete with slotted screws.

The Reading ribbon logo with R.H.Co. inside can be seen on the lock body when mounted for left hand function as shown below. Lock measures 5" x 3 1/2" high and is reversible handing, shown as right hand above and left hand below. Keeper is an additional 1". Lock has privacy night latch found at the top which allows you to lock the knobs for privacy without using the keyed deadbolt. Restored with original white porcelain door knobs and complete with cast iron rosette, key escutcheon, and key - ready to install. Back set is 4" to knob center. Comes complete with slotted screws.
