Quantity:

 One of the earliest cast iron American rim locks, circa 1850's, with brass works and an early partially open back.  Lock measures 6" deep x 3 3/4" and is not reversible - left hand only.  Early configuration of bolt at the top with the latch at the bottom of the lock body - keyhole is horizontally off the knob hole. Keeper is 1" additional.  Original swirl mineral knobs are 2 1/4" in diameter with cast iron rosette and key escutcheon (2" x 1 1/4").  Bronze key is 3 5/8".  Lock is restored, complete, and in excellent condition - ready to install.  Photo below right shows back of lock and the brass bolts.  Comes with slotted screws.
