Extremely rare No. 60 Improved Carpenter style rim passage latch, circa 1845. The eagle seal states No. 60 Improved and was originally riveted on the lock case upside down as shown in the photo. The original accompanying keeper is also signed "Improved". This passage latch has no keyed bolt and is a latch only and measures 3 1/2" high x 5" deep x 7/8". The keeper is 3 1/2" high x 1 3/8" wide with brass trim. Latch is not reversible and is right hand only. Original narrow neck knobs measure 1 5/8" diameter. Brass rosette is our own new replacement. Restored and complete - comes with slotted mount screws.
