 Rim passage latch, manufactured circa 1870,  in cast iron with beveled edges.  This latch offers a slide privacy bolt operated by the recessed finger slide seen at the bottom of the latch above and the top of the latch when reversed for right hand as shown below.  Measuring 3 3/4" deep x 2 3/4" high without the 7/8" keeper.  Shown as left hand above and right hand below.  The backset is 3".  Restored and complete with unusual original white porcelain door knobs.  Complete with slotted wood screws.
