Ornate cast iron horizontal rim lock manufactured circa 1890's, with the letter C and the number 20 inside.  These locks were made throughout the 1890's to commemorate America's entry into the new 20th Century.  Lock measures 3 1/4" x 4 1/4" and are reversible, restored to a black finish, and complete with original black jet door knobs, cast iron trim with irregular edge key escutcheon, plain rosette, and key.  Locks have a slide privacy bolt seen at the bottom which allows you to lock the door for privacy without using the keyed bolt.  Keeper measures 7/8" additional on jamb.  Bolts are brass as is the slide finger operator at the bottom of the lock.  Complete with slotted mount screws.
