Federal period wrought iron rim lock, circa 1800.  Lock body measures 5" x 3 3/8" x 3/4" without the keeper and is non-reversible, left hand only.  Keeper offers brass trim decoration along the edge and measures 1" wide and is a hand wrought replacement from our shop.  Lock is restored and complete with early original brass stirrups measuring 2" across widest with a 1 3/4" drop with original rosette.  The oval key escutcheon (1 7/8" x 1 1/4") in brass is our own new replacement.  Fine quality iron works in the lock are shown from the back below.  Restored and complete this lock comes with slotted screws and is ready for installation.  Knobs are currently set for a 1 1/4" door thickness, however, we can adjust the knobs to fit the thickness of your particular door upon request - please provide that measurement in the Comments Section when ordering.
