Cast iron Colonial Revival horizontal rim lock which mounts on the surface of the door, manufactured circa 1920-30's. This lock is reversible (shown as left hand above) and measures 4" high x 4 1/2" deep. Keeper is an additional 3/4". Lock has a night latch found at the top of the lock which locks the knobs for privacy rather than using the keyed deadbolt which was primarily used at night for security. The swinging cover key escutcheon is original and measures 1 7/8" high x 34". Lock backset is 3 1/2". Restored and complete with one key - comes complete with slotted screws.
