Antique open work wrought iron surface mount plate latch, circa 1800. Latch measures 3 1/16" high x 3 1/2" and is accompanied by early narrow-neck oval brass door knobs measuring 1 1/2" x 1 1/8" with the removable knob having the early slotted center nut mount. Brass rosette is our own new replacement. This type of latch is not reversible and is right hand only. Knobs are currently set up to fit a door 1 1/8" thick without modification - can be modified before shipping upon request in the Comments Section when ordering. Latch is in excellent condition, restored in black finish, and complete with threaded screw-in keeper measuring 2" overall with a 5/8" threaded portion. We provide slotted mounting screws.

Latch measures 2 7/8" high x 3" deep and is accompanied by early narrow-neck brass oval door knobs measuring 1 1/2" x 1" with a center slotted mount - brass rosette (1 1/4") is our own new replacement. This type of latch is not reversible and is right hand only and is spaced to fit a door 1 3/8" thick. We will modify this spacing to fit your door thickness upon request in the Comments section. Latch is in excellent condition, restored in black finish, and complete with replacement wrought surface mount keeper shown to the right of the lock measuring 7/8" wide. Back set is 2 3/4". In good working condition showing minor surface pitting and appropriate weathering. We provide slotted mounting screws.
