Antique cast iron Victorian passage rim latch which mounts on the surface of the door, manufactured circa 1875.  Lock measures 3 5/8" deep x  2 1/2" high and is reversible handing.  Shown as left hand above and right hand below.  Keeper is an additional 1".   This  latch offers a slide privacy bolt operated by the brass finger slide seen to the left of the door knob above.  The bolt itself is round and brass.  While the accompanying brass knobs and rosette are not new, they are newer than the latch and were added at a later date - measuring 1 1/2" in diameter.  Latch is restored, complete, and ready to install.  Complete with slotted screws.
