  Extremely ornate raised relief cast iron horizontal rim lock, all original, manufactured circa 1890 - in original finish.  Lock measures 3 1/4" high x 4 1/4" deep measured without the 7/8" wide keeper.  Backset is 3" to knob center.  Lock is complete with unusual and rare knobs in black jet with gold decorative bulls eye trim.  Lock is reversible shown right hand above - left hand below.  Both sides are the same pattern and in very good condition.  Accompanied by cast iron rosette, key escutcheon, and one bit key.  This lock offers a night latch seen at the top of the lock which allows you to lock the knobs for privacy without using the keyed bolt.  We provide slotted mounting screws.
