Quantity:

    One of the earliest cast iron American rim locks probably manufactured by Russell Erwin & Co., circa 1840's.  Lock measures 5" x 3 1/4" x 3/4" and is not reversible - left hand only.  Early configuration of bolt at the top with the latch at the bottom of the lock body - keyhole is horizontally off the knob hole. Original brass knobs are 1 1/2" in diameter with brass rosette and are adjustable.  Brass key escutcheon measures 2" x 1 1/4".  Lock is restored, complete, and in excellent condition - ready to install.  Photo below right shows period partial open back plate and brass bolts.  Key is bronze.  Comes with slotted screws.
