Civil War era American horizontal cast iron rim lock for entry or interior use, manufactured circa 1863 and signed on the back M W & Co. (Mallory, Wheeler & Co. New Haven).  Lock measures 5" x 3 1/2" high and is non-reversible right hand only with a beveled edge.  Restored and complete with original brown swirl mineral knobs, cast iron trim, and brass key.  Complete with mounting screws.

Early American horizontal cast iron rim lock for entry or interior use with a beveled edge, manufactured circa 1850, with well made brass works.  These early beveled or molded edge rim locks were not reversible and this lock is left hand only, measuring 3 1/2" high x 5" without the keeper which is 1 1/8" additional.   Restored, complete with original early brown swirl mineral door knobs, iron trim, and one original key.  Lock comes with mounting screws, and is ready to install.
