An early square cornered Pennsylvania German or Dutch Elbow passage latch for interior use with no keyed deadbolt, circa 1820. Very nice quality well made latch with spoon style lever handles. Lock body measures 3 1/2" x 5" deep x 1" and offers a slide privacy bolt operated by the finger slide seen at the bottom of the latch. This type of lock is not reversible and is right hand only and will fit a door up to 1 1/8" thick maximum without modification. Exterior handle shown in mounted position below right with oval escutcheon 2 1/2" x 1 1/2" and is held in place with notched nut. Latch is in excellent condition, restored, and complete with original keeper (4 3/8" x 1") shown to the right of the lock and comes with all mounting screws. This type of lock is not reversible and is left hand only and will fit a door up to 2" thick maximum without modification. Exterior handle shown in mounted position below right with round escutcheon 1 1/2" diameter and is held in place with nut. Latch is in good working condition and show minor surface pitting from age, restored, and complete with original drive-in keeper (4" overall) shown to the left of the latch. We include appropriate mounting screws. Interior works shown from back below center.
