Hard to find early American wrought iron vertical entry rim lock, circa 1835.  Lock body measures 6 1/4" x 4 1/4" without the keeper and is non-reversible, right hand only.  Keeper features brass trim on the edge and measures 1 1/8" width additional.   Lock is signed on the bolt end Mackrell & Richardson, New York.    Lock is restored, in excellent condition, and complete with early original brass knobs 1 7/8" in diameter, brass rosette 1 5/16" diameter, original bronze key and a brass key escutcheon 2" x 1 1/4".  Photo below right shows the high quality mechanism from the back.   Knobs are currently spaced to fit a 1 1/8" door, but can be modified to your door thickness upon request.  Restored in black finish - complete with slotted screws.
