Quantity:

A very rare early square corner Pennsylvania German or Dutch Elbow passage latch for interior use with no keyed deadbolt or privacy lock, circa 1830.  This very small well made latch has an early flared latch bar and spoon style lever handles.  Lock body measures only 2" high x 4 1/8" x 1".  This type of lock is not reversible and is right hand only and will fit a door up to 1 1/8" thick maximum without modification.  Exterior handle shown in mounted position below right with round escutcheon 1 1/2" diameter and is held in place with included nut not pictured.  Latch is in good working condition and is restored and complete with original drive-in rat-tail keeper 2 3/4" high x 1 3/8" extension when mounted - the drive-in spike is 2 1/2" additional.  We include appropriate mounting screws.  Interior works shown from back below center.
