Antique open work wrought iron surface mount plate latch, circa 1800, called a keyhole latch due to it's shape resembling a keyhole on it's side. Latch measures 5 1/2" deep x 3 1/4" high without the keeper which is additional 11/16" wide on the jamb. Accompanied by early original round narrow-neck knobs measuring 1 5/8" in diameter. Exterior knob and rosette are pictured above the latch. Rosette is our replacement item. This type of lock is not reversible and is right hand only and is currently set up for a 1 1/2" door but will be modified to fit your specific door thickness - please provide that measurement in the Comments Section when ordering. Latch is in excellent condition, restored, and complete with our own hand wrought replacement surface mount keeper shown to the right of the lock. Comes with slotted screws.
