A large set of vertical rim locks signed with a patent date of May 29, 1866.  These large size antique rim locks in cast iron measure 5" high x 3 5/8" without the keeper which is additional 1".   Locks are reversible and all original.   Restored, complete with an original white porcelain door knobs, porcelain rosette (2" dia.), and porcelain key escutcheon (2" x 1 1/4").  A night latch on the top of the lock allows you to lock the knobs for privacy without using the keyed bolt.  When mounted as left hand (above) the seal shows "Pat'd May 29, 1866".  There are no markings on the right hand side as shown below left.  Back set is 2 3/4".  Complete with slotted mounting screws.
