Antique open work wrought iron surface mount plate latch, circa 1780 - 1820.  Latch measures 4" deep  x 3 3/4" high and is accompanied by early narrow neck knobs measuring 1 3/4" diameter in polished brass. Knobs are adjusted presently for a door up to 1 3/8" thick but can be extended upon request.  This type of lock is not reversible and is right hand only.  Offering a slide privacy bolt with a small brass finger push seen at the bottom of the latch.  Latch is in excellent condition, restored, and complete with arrow catch surface mount keeper.  Restored and complete with slotted screws.
