 Antique open work wrought iron surface mount plate latch, circa 1770.  Latch measures  2 7/8" deep  x 3 1/8" high and is accompanied by original oval narrow neck knobs measuring 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" in polished brass with replacement brass rosette.  Knobs are adjusted presently for a door 1" thick but can be modified to your door thickness upon request.  This type of lock is not reversible and is right hand only.  This early latch offers a slide privacy bolt below the latch with a small 5/16" diameter brass operating knob.  In excellent condition, restored, and complete with drive-in wrought iron arrow keeper.  Complete with slotted screws.
