Very large cast iron Blake style thumb latches. This Blake style latch was manufactured by most of the major hardware manufacturers for many years. Patented in 1842 - this type of thumb latch could still be found in some form in catalogs for about 100 years. Handle measures 9" high x 2 3/8" at widest with inside grip opening of 4 3/4". The original off-side bar sets offers 9" bars with mount ring, a 4" high staple, and surface mount keepers 2 1/2" high. When mounted, the thumb lift shown below left protrudes through the door and rests under the bar for operation and acts as a grasp to lift the bar from that side.
