 Massive Arts and Crafts/Colonial Revival entry thumb latch in heavy cast iron, manufactured by Hall & Co., circa 1930.  The flat thumb press has a long curved pivot lift as shown in side photo below.  Handle measures 15 1/2" high x 3 3/8" at widest point across.  The nicely formed handle measures 6 3/4" high and extends from the full back plate 2 1/4".  Side view of thumb below left shows straight lift that will accommodate a door up to 2 1/4" thick.  The accompanying wrought iron bar set, pictured below right,  has each part mounted on individual mount members and offers a 10 1/4" x 7/8" bar, a 1 5/8" x 1" surface mount staple, and a 3" x 2" surface mount keeper.  Restored, complete and comes with mounting screws.

  Wrought iron thumb latch in the Norfolk style from the second quarter of the 19th century, with bulbous decoration in the center of the handle.  Handle back plate measures 7 1/2" high x 1 7/8" while the handle itself is 4".  Side view of the flared swivel thumb press shows the curved bar lift that will accommodate a door up to 1 1/2" thick without modification.  The accompanying bar set is our own new wrought placement, pictured below right, offering a 6 1/2" bar, a surface mount staple (2 1/4" x 3/4") and surface mount keeper (2 1/4" x 3/4").  Comes complete with slotted mounting screws.

Suffolk style thumb latch in wrought iron circa 1760, featuring arrow shaped cusps.  Thumb press is flat with a notched lift that is nicely curved (shown below center) which will accommodate a door up to 1 5/8" thick. Handle measures 14" high x 2 1/2" at widest point across.  Hand grasp has a 5 1/2" grip opening and is nicely worked into a 6" flat handle measuring 1" wide.  The accompanying replacement bar set, below right,  has a 7 3/4" bar,  1 3/4" high drive-in staple, and a drive-in keeper.  Restored and complete - comes with mounting screws.

Modified Suffolk "bean" style thumb latch in wrought iron from the 19th century, call a bean because of it's lima bean shaped cusps - although in this case the cusps have been modified to a more rounded appearance.  Thumb press is flat below the cusp and has a straight pivot type finger grasp which will accommodate a 1 1/8" thick door.  Handle measures 7 3/8" high x 1 3/8" wide cusps.  Hand grasp has a 3 3/4" grip opening and is worked into a wide flat handle measuring 3/4" wide.  Accompanied by a our own replacement bar set, pictured below, with a 6 1/2" bar, a 1 1/2" high drive-in staple, and drive-in keeper measuring 2 3/4" overall and extending approximately 1" when mounted.  Comes complete with screws.
