One of the earliest Victorian window or sash lifts in decorative cast brass, manufactured circa 1865, by the Sargent & Co.  Lift measures 1 1/2" wide x 1 1/4" high overall - the flat back measures 3/4" high.  The top of the finger curl is decorated as well.  At some earlier time, tiny holes were drilled in each of the curved tops of the lifts as shown in photo below.  This does not interfere with the function and does not show when mounted.   Restored and ready to install with screws.

A typical early forged iron exterior shutter bolt, circa 1860.  What is not typical is that this bolt is still in the original state after manufacturing and has never been used.  Bolts were made in one piece with the keeper attached.  The bolts were sold this way and when the home owner used it, they detached the keeper from the bolt.  There is a line incised into the metal (can be seen in the photos) where the keeper is to be detached.  This bolt and keeper were never detached and are still in the original single piece.  Bolt measures 6 3/4" x 1 3/4" - keeper measures 1 3/4" x 3 1/8".  Overall length is 9 7/8".
