Babcock style cast iron window spring catches, with patent date on the original box of Nov. 1, 1892. The threaded barrel mounts directly into the side of the window frame and measures 1" deep x 3/4" in diameter. The window sash is then notched allowing the window to be stopped wherever there is a notch. The spring loaded arm moves in and out to release or latch the window in place. Arm extends approximately 1". These locks are new old stock - never used and in original copper finish, manufactured by Sargent & Co. and still in the original box which was a bit beat up as seen below but with the merchandise safe inside in excellent condition.

All original swing arm style sash locks, patent date on the underside of Apr. 27, 1875, in cast iron. Lock bases measure 2 3/8" wide x 1 3/8" deep x 1 1/4" high. The keeper is 2 1/4" wide x 1/2" deep. The up and down toggle at the back of the spring loaded arm releases it to swing into the keeper for locking (above) and out of the keeper to unlock the sash (below left). Decorative ball finial on the top is bronze. Locks are restored and completed - with slotted wood screws.

Swing arm style sash locks with a patent date imprinted of Dec. 27, 1887, in decorative cast iron. Lock bases measure 2 1/4" wide x 1 3/8" deep without the keeper which takes 2 1/4" x 3/4" to mount. The arm moves the swing catch into the keeper to lock and out of the keeper to unlock the sash. Restored and complete - comes with slotted wood screws.

The dog itself measures 5 1/2" high overall (shown in close-up below) while the bar measures approximately 12 1/2" x 1" wide. These shutter dogs are well wrought and heavy. In original aged finish.
