Description

Antique rotary or twist door bell in iron, made after 1890. Mounts directly through an exterior door with the turn handle on the outside and the bell mounted inside. Bell turn is on rectangular beveled edge plate that measures 5" high by 2 1/4" wide in heavy wrought steel - the turn end is about 1". Mechanical rotary bell is ornate all cast iron - the base has nice decorative open work edge and measures 5" in diameter. Bell rings with a continuous ring as long as the handle is turned and can be heard throughout the house. Complete and restored to working order in a black finish. Bell is adjustable to any door thickness.
