Antique open work wrought iron surface mount plate latch, late 18th to early 19th century with slide privacy bolt and marked on the latch A & F -WH.  Latch measures 3 3/4"high x 4" deep and is accompanied by early original brass narrow neck knobs measuring 1 3/8" diameter with our own brass replacement rosette. This type of lock is not reversible and is right hand only.  Knobs are currently spaced for a 1" door but can be modified for any door thickness - please add that information as a Comment when ordering.  Latch is in very good working condition - spring is good.  We have completed the latch with a  keeper hand-made in our own workshop measuring 3 3/4" high x 3/4" wide and extending out when mounted 3/4".   Complete with slotted screws.
