Description

Cast iron horizontal rim lock, circa early to mid 1860's by Norwalk Lock Co. An early reversible rim lock with the latch on the bottom and the keyed deadbolt in the center - an early lock configuration. Lock measures 3 1/2" high x 4 1/4" deep without the 1" ornate keeper matching the ornamentation on the lock edge. Lock also features distinctive ornate corners on the lock and keeper. Lock is all original and complete with white porcelain knobs in very good condition and original cast iron rosette, key escutcheon, and one key. Lock has a night latch toggle on the bottom edge allowing the knobs to be locked in place for privacy. Restored to black finish and in excellent working condition, ready to install. Mounting screws included.
