Colonial Revival cast iron cylinder bolt rim lock, circa 1910, by Skillman Builders Hardware, New Jersey. Lock is complete including the original Skillman exterior cylinder for the bolt. Lock is reversible and measures 4 1/8" high x 4 1/2" x 13/16" thick without the keeper. Keeper measures 3/4" additional width and features an extended lip mount with cutouts for the latch and bolt as shown in photos. Brass door knobs measure 2" in diameter with original brass exterior rosette. Exterior cylinder bolt has original signed cylinder, brass surround, and mounts. The interior includes the original thumb turn (1 7/8" x 1") - turn is black finish on brass with brass oval mount. This thumb turn engages the bolt from the inside. Lock is restored to original black finish and is in excellent condition. Back set is 3 1/2 - spacing is 2 1/4". A very heavy well made quality lock weighing about two pounds. Comes with one key and slotted screws.
